Herbal medicine for babies, toddlers and children.

Herbal Medicine can be used for babies, toddlers and older children. In my clinic I see many children with many health problems. Some of the more common childhood ailments I have treated are eczema, colic, ear infections, coughs, swollen glands, digestive problems, insomnia, lack of energy and behavioural difficulties.

Herbal medicine is suitable for all ages. I have a particular interest in using herbal medicine on infants and children and have used herbal medicine to treat my own children since they were born.  

When herbal medicine is individually prescribed and prepared by a properly trained herbalist it can offer a very gentle, safe yet effective means of treating many childhood ailments.
 
As always a careful analysis of diet is central to any treatment programme. I always fully involve  children in any discussion of dietary change and explain the reasons for any dietary changes.
